VIRTUAL HIRING FAIR

  • VA is hosting a hiring fair in Detroit June 26-28 and some employers will be interviewing Soldiers and Veterans at Fort Knox virtually.
  • There are job opportunities around the nation available for our Soldiers and Veterans.
  • Soldiers and Veterans interested in interviewing via video teleconference from Fort Knox should first register for the event on the VA website www.vaforvets.va.gov/detroit. For questions, call 1-855-VA4VETS (1-855-824-8387).
  • Once the Soldiers and Veterans are registered, then they will be contacted for the date/ time of their virtual interview. Registration deadline is the 20th of June.
  • If Soldiers or Veterans need any assistance with getting a resume constructed or just need general information please contact the Fort Knox ACAP Center at 502-624-5222 or 2227.
  • The hiring fair is about giving veterans the opportunity to walk away with a tentative job offer or second level interviews with employers. They have earned it.
  • VA is contributing significant resources to numerous initiatives promoting Veterans education, training and employment, including the post 9/11 G.I. Bill, our vocational and rehabilitation programs and VA for Vets.
  • We know veterans are proven performers who have distinguished themselves in uniform.
  • Veterans bring a strong commitment to the mission, leadership qualities, discipline, teamwork and diversity to any job or work force.
